2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission
The Royal Commission web site has a huge amount of information available, including live video streams when in session.
The Commission received several submissions from people commenting on the Ferny Creek Alert System. Emergency Services Commissioner, Bruce Esplin, was questioned for a signifcant time about our alert system.
When the interim report was handed down on August 17, the Alert System and its education program had received an encouraging and positive report. That is a tribute not just to the committee and all who‘ve contributed time and expertise, but also to this community that was prepared to embrace it.
The Interim Report is available chapter-by-chapter in PDF format ![]()
